Creasy, Admiral George, 1895-1972

Creasy was a British Admiral in charge of naval planning for the Allied invasion of northwest Europe. He had held several staff posts and active commands; for example, in 1942 he had commanded the HMS Duke of York. He was then promoted to Chief of Staff to Allied Naval Commander in Chief, Sir Bertram RAMSAY of COSSAC, and took part in the detailed naval planning preceding D-Day.
